December 13, 2014

Tonight the Center Moriches Fire Department will be hosting the 2014 Holiday Parade of Lights.

This spectacular parade will bring 1,000's of spectators as well many community groups, loc...al fire departments, EMS Agencies and cartoon characters into the down town area.

The parade will end with a visit from Santa on top of a Center Moriches Fire Truck.

For those traveling to Center Moriches for the parade, the parade starts promptly at 6pm. Please plan on getting into town by 5pm and dress warm, temperatures will be in the low 30's

Suffolk County Police will start shutting down Main Street at 5:30.

These road closures will affect every street off Montauk Highway from Lake Avenue on the west end of town to Ocean Avenue on the east end of town.

We ask all residents to have your errands done as early as possible this afternoon. Local roads will become very congested later this evening with parade traffic and will be nearly impassable.

The Moriches By-Pass (Frowein Road) will be the alternate route to use to bypass the Main Street Parade.

Streets impacted by the parade:

All Streets south of Main Street from Senix Avenue to Ocean Avenue. Also Brookfield Avenue, Chichester Avenue, Clinton St and Railroad Avenue from Frowein Road to Montauk Hwy.

If you have an emergency please remember to dial 911, our emergency vehicles will have full access to any area of town.

If you have any questions or need any additional information please e-mail Parade@centermorichesfd.com
