Just before 2pm on Monday Center Moriches firefighters were requested to assist the East Moriches Fire Department at the scene of a house fire on Pine Edge Drive.

At 1:47pm East Moriches Firefighters responded to the Pine Edge Dr house after a neighbor reported smoke coming from the house. East Moriches Firefighters arrived on scene and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the house.

Center Moriches Firefighters responded to the scene with an engine. Once on scene CMFD firefighters were put to work assisting with the extensive overhaul operations.

There were no injuries reported and Center Moriches Firefighters were back in service within 2 hours.
