It is with great sadness the Center Moriches Fire Department announces that Ex Chief, Past Fire Commissioner and 56-year member of the Center Moriches Fire Department Roger Titmus Sr has answered his last alarm.

Roger Titmus of Center Moriches died on Monday March 27, 2017 he was 84 years old.

Roger joined the Center Moriches Fire Department in 1961 and served as the Departments Chief from 1973 to 1974. In 1975 Mr. Titmus was elected to the position of Fire Commissioner where he remained until 1999.

Wake services will be at the Sinnicksons Funeral Home, 203 Main St. Center Moriches, NY 11934 Wednesday March 29th from 7 to 9pm and Thursday March 30th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Firematic services will be on Thursday at 7:30pm.

Funeral Mass Friday March 31st 10:45am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 25 Ocean Avenue Center Moriches with burial to follow at Mt Pleasant Cemetery.
