Just after 6am Center Moriches firefighters were requested to an auto accident with injuries on Moriches Middle Island Road between Wright Road and Dayton Avenue.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene to find a single vehicle on its side in the middle of the road.

3 occupants of the vehicle were walking around the scene when emergency responders pulled up. A fourth person, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the accident and was later apprehended by Suffolk County Police.

While firefighters secured the overturned vehicle, EMT’s treated the occupants and transported two of them to a local hospital with minor injuries for further evaluation.
