Just before 11am on Wednesday Center Moriches Fire Department Ambulance was requested to the Center Moriches Yacht Club on Union Avenue for a male bleeding. Emergency personnel arrived and found a teenage male on a boat with a traumatic injury to the arm.

The teenage boy was injured when he fell off a boat in Moriches Bay near the Moriches Yacht Club and was struck in the left arm by the propeller.

While Paramedics from Center Moriches Fire Department and Mastic Ambulance Company worked to stabilize the injured teen, Firefighters secured the landing zone behind the Clayton Huey Elementary School where the teen was airlifted to the trauma unit at Stony Brook University Hospital.
