The Center Moriches Fire Department Holiday Parade of Lights brings out the best of a local community.

On Saturday December 9, 2017 Center Moriches Fire Department held its annual Holiday Parade of Lights along Main Street.

Over 50 local fire and EMS agencies, community groups, and businesses participated in the Holiday Parade with floats, music, and holiday performances for all to enjoy.

Prior to the start of the parade judges reviewed a dozen floats and awarded trophies to the "best" floats. During the parade the winners were announced and trophies were presented to them as they passed by the reviewing stand.

The 2017 Winners are:

Best Brownie Float …………….. Brownie Troop 35
Best Girl Scouts Float .............Girl Scouts Troop 1556
Best Cub Scout Float ………… Troop 221 Den 8
Best Fire / EMS Float ............. East Moriches Ambulance
Best Appearing Fire Truck....... Mastic Fire Department
Best Community Float .............Helping Makes You Happy
Best Overall Float ....... ............ Ridge Fire Department
