Last night Center Moriches firefighters attended fire school at the Suffolk County Fire Academy in Yaphank for training on Liquid Propane Gas Emergencies.

Training consisted of a classroom session where firefighters learned how to safely handle leaking and burning LPG tanks followed by hands on training.

Fire Academy instructors worked with Center Moriches Firefighters who took part in several live fire evolutions. These evolutions are designed to prepare firefighters to respond to all types of propane emergency calls.

These trainings also help to build teamwork as well as test the firefighter's skills during live fire conditions.
