At 11:30pm on Wednesday Center Moriches Firefighters were requested to the report of a house fire on Ashley Circle in Manorville. While in route firefighters were advised numerous 911 calls were coming in reporting heavy fire from the house.

Firefighters arrived on scene and found the attached 2 car garage heavily engulfed in flames spreading to the main portion of the house.

As Center Moriches Firefighters went to work extinguishing the fire, additional resources were requested from East Moriches FD, Eastport FD, Mastic FD, Manorville FD, Mastic Beach FD and Manorville Community Ambulance to assist firefighters on scene.

It took firefighters just over 90 minutes to bring the fire under control. The occupants who were home at the time of the fire were able to escape without injury.

There were no firefighter injuries reported. The cause of the fire in under investigation by the Brookhaven Town Fire Marshalls Office and the Suffolk County Police Arson Squad.
