At 5:44pm Center Moriches Firefighters were requested to an auto accident with injuries at the intersection of Main Street and Reeves Road.

Emergency personnel arrived to find a pickup truck that struck a utility pole, overturned, and crashed into a second pole. The driver exited the truck on his own prior to the fire departments arrival.

While firefighters secured the overturned vehicle, EMT’s treated the driver and transported him to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Suffolk County Police remained on scene diverting traffic while the utility company worked to replace the 2 broken poles.
