At 11:50pm on Thursday, Center Moriches Firefighters were requested to assist Mastic Firefighters at the scene of a structure fire at the intersection of Eleanor Ave and Poospatuck Ln in Mastic.

Center Moriches Firefighters responded to the scene with a Engine and assisted in extinguishing and overhaul operations.

East Moriches, Manorville and Mastic Beach FD as well as Mastic And Shirley ambulance also responded to assist at the fire.

CMFD was back in service with 2 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation by Brookhaven Town Fire Marshals office and Suffolk County Police Arson Squad.
