2019 will go down as the busiest year to date for the volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel of the Center Moriches Fire Department. In total, they responded to 1,789 emergency calls which averages almost 5 calls per day.

Some of these calls included structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, water rescues, carbon monoxide alarms, as well as traumatic injuries and other life-threatening medical emergencies. In addition to responding to emergency calls, CMFD also provided EMS standby crews for countless events throughout the community.

Our members also spent a tremendous amount of time during 2019 training and sharpening their skills to ensure they are prepared to handle any emergency they might face.

As we reflect on 2019, the Center Moriches Fire Department would like to thank the community for your unwavering support. We also say thank you to all the brave men and women of the Center Moriches Fire Department who put their lives on the line every single day to serve their community.
