At 6:53pm Firefighters from the Center Moriches Fire Department responded to an auto accident with injuries at the intersection of Frowein Road and Chichester Avenue. Fire units arrived on scene to find a 2 car accident with 1 vehicle on its side and numerous injuries.The occupant of the overturned vehicle was able to extricate themselves prior to the Fire Departments arrival.
Firefighters worked to secure the vehicles while Fire Police assisted Suffolk County Police with traffic control.
Center Moriches Fire Department Ambulances transported the injured to the hospital for evaluation. Units from the Center Moriches Fire Department operated on scene for approximately 30 minutes. The cause is the accident is under investigation by Suffolk County Police.
