Just before 6:30 this morning the East Moriches Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire on Montauk Hwy off County Road 51.

East Moriches firefighters arrived on scene to find a pool house fully engulfed in flames. As Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire additional resources were requested as part of their day time pre-plan.

Center Moriches Firefighters responded to the East Moriches firehouse on Pine Street to cover any additional calls East Moriches Firefighters might have while they were at the fire.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the pool house which was completely destroyed. There were no injuries reported and the fire is under investigation by the Brookhaven Town Fire Marshalls Office.

Center Moriches Fire Fighters were back in service with 30 minutes.
