At 2:30pm Center Moriches Firefighters responded to the report of a building fire at the Crystal Fuel Company on Saunders Avenue.

Units arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the building.

As firefighters made entry into the building they found the engine compartment of a fuel truck on fire. Firefighters quickly worked to extinguish the fire, while a second fuel truck was safely removed from the burning building.

Firefighters had the fire under control within an hour.

There were no injuries reported, the cause of the fire in under investigation by Brookhaven Town Fire Marshalls office.
