Just after 10 this morning Suffolk County 911 received numerous calls for a boat fire at the Senix Marina on Senix Avenue.

As firefighters approached the scene heavy black smoke could be seen billowing up from the back of the marina. Arriving units found a 30 foot boat fully engulfed in flames.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.

There were no injuries reported and no other boats were damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by Suffolk County Police Arson Squad and Brookhaven Town Fire Marshalls Office.

Firefighters were back in service within an hour.
