Firefighters from multiple departments battled a fire that gutted a house on Patchogue Avenue in Mastic.

Mastic firefighters arrived on scene just before 4:30pm and had heavy fire showing thorough the windows of the two story home.

Center Moriches Firefighters were called to assist Mastic Firefighters at 4:43pm. It took firefighters just over an hour to bring the fire under control.

There were no firefighter injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brookhaven Town Fire Marshalls Office and the Suffolk County Police Arson Squad.

Center Moriches firefighters were back in service 2 hours later.
