At 6:22pm on Wednesday, Center Moriches Firefighters and EMT’s were requested to an auto accident with injuries at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Frowein Road.

Emergency units arrived on scene and found 2 vehicles involved in the accident. One of the vehicles crashed through a fence into the backyard of a Frowein Road house striking the back porch.

While firefighters secured the damaged vehicles, the drivers were evaluated by CMFD EMT’s and one was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There was minor damage to the back porch. The residents of the house were home at the time of the accident, they were not injured.
