Just after 10:30pm Suffolk County 911 received a call for a vehicle into the water at the end of the Union Avenue Dock.

When Firefighters arrived on scene they found a pickup truck had crashed through the dock at the end of Union Avenue and was partially submerged in the Moriches Bay.

Firefighters assisted by a Suffolk County Police Marine unit searched the vehicle and the bay area for any occupants but none were found. Suffolk County Police later found the driver of the vehicle at his home uninjured.

Firefighters were back in service within 45 minutes.
