The Center Moriches Fire Department is committed to spreading the word about fire safety and prevention. Each year firefighters visit our local schools, and host numerous firehouse tours.

During Fire Prevention week Center Moriches firefighters speak to hundreds of children. Children learn about various fire safety tips like what to do if your house is on fire, smoke detectors, stop-drop and roll, calling 9-1-1 and most importantly that firefighters are our friends !
