Sunday evening members from the Center Moriches Fire Department joined other local fire departments at the Smith Point County Park in support of the 20th anniversary of the TWA Flight 800 crash.

TWA Flight 800 took off from Kennedy Airport on its way to Paris France when the aircraft broke up and fell into the Atlantic Ocean 8 miles south of Moriches Inlet. All 212 passengers & 18 crew members were killed.
