Just after 10:30pm on Sunday Center Moriches Firefighters were requested to assist the Mastic Fire Department at the scene of a commercial structure fire at Valentina Brick Oven Pizzeria located on the corner of Mastic Rd and Wavecrest Dr.

At 10:27pm Mastic Firefighters were notified of the fire. When firefighters arrived on scene they were met with heavy smoke and fire. Additional resources were requested from the Mastic Beach Fire Department, Brookhaven Fire Department, Center Moriches Fire Department, East Moriches Fire Department, and the Yaphank Fire Department.

CMFD Firefighters responded to the scene with an engine and assisted with extinguishing the fire and overhaul operations.

There were no injuries reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Mastic Beach Village Fire Marshal's office.

Center Moriches Firefighters were back in service at midnight.
