Center Moriches Firefighters along with firefighters from other local departments were on scene of a mulch fire at the Speonk Earth Recycling on Speonk Riverhead Road in the Eastport Fire District.

Center Moriches firefighters were called to assist Eastport firefighters at 6:11am. The Tanker responded and firefighters spent the morning helping to extinguish the flames.

Center Moriches Firefighters were back in service by 9:30 this morning.
