At 5:41pm on Tuesday the Center Moriches FD Ambulance was requested to the Tall Oaks Condo Complex on Moriches Middle Island for a male youth who was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle.

Due to the nature of his injuries a helicopter was requested to transport the youth to the trauma center at Stony Brook University Hospital.

Center Moriches Fire Department stood by at the Center Moriches High School with an engine while the SCPD helicopter landed in rear field.
