Just after 2pm on Friday Center Moriches Firefighters were requested to assist the Mastic Fire Department at the scene of commercial wood grinder on fire at Global Land Materials on Barnes Road. Center Moriches firefighters responded to the scene with an Engine and assisted the Mastic Firefighters in extinguishing the fire.

Mastic Beach FD, Manorville FD, Brookhaven FD Mastic Ambulance & Shirley Ambulance were also called to the scene.

Center Moriches Firefighters were back in service within 2 hours.
