Just before 5am Center Moriches Fire Department was requested to the scene of a tractor trailer accident on Montauk Highway and Wilcox Ave at the Long Island Railroad Overpass.

Firefighters arrived to find a tractor trailer overturned after striking the overpass.

The driver was able to extricate herself from the vehicle when emergency personnel arrived and was transported by Center Moriches FD Ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Suffolk County Police detoured traffic around the area for several hours while crews worked to clean up the accident scene.
