Center Moriches Fire Department officials are encouraging all residents to register for the Smart911 program to assist our first responders with COVID-19 awareness.
This free service provides 911 Dispatchers with valuable information that is displayed when you place an emergency call.
All residents can create a Smart911 profile at www.smart911.com or on the Smart911 App and include medical information for those who may be at higher risk of developing COVID-19.
By signing up for Smart911 you can help our first responders obtain key information not only during this outbreak, but during any emergency.
When you call 9-1-1, your Smart911 Safety Profile is automatically displayed allowing our public safety agencies to send our first responders to the location with enhanced medical data.
Individuals can also identify if they are under any quarantine, and whether it is self-imposed or directed by a health professional. This information is vital to the safety of our First Responders who are on the front lines of this pandemic.
