Just before 8:30am on Monday Center Moriches Firefighters were requested to an auto accident with injuries on Main Street off Union Avenue.

When Firefighters and Paramedics arrived, they found a single vehicle into the building. The vehicle which had been traveling west on Montauk Hwy struck a vehicle on the shoulder of the road then veered across the eastbound lanes into the Carpet King showroom on the south side of the road.

While Firefighters secured the vehicle, EMT’s and Paramedics treated the driver of the vehicle who was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The business was closed at the time of the accident.
