Each year firefighters from the Center Moriches Fire Department attend live fire training at the Suffolk County Fire Academy in Yaphank.

On Thursday April 29th two dozen Firefighters from the Center Moriches Fire Department took part in the Class “A” Drill.

Fire Academy instructors work with Firefighters who take part in several hands-on evolutions. These evolutions are designed to prepare firefighters to respond to fires inside a residential home. These trainings help to build teamwork as well as test the firefighter's skills during live fire conditions.

During the drill members from the Center Moriches FD Ambulance Squad stood by ready to treat any firefighter needing help.
