On Sunday October 17th, the Center Moriches Fire Department held its annual open house.

It was a chance for the community to come out, meet their local emergency personnel and see the equipment used daily by Center Moriches Volunteers.

Children had the opportunity to hop in the driver's seat of the fire trucks and climb inside rescue vehicles.

In addition to the equipment there was a Jaws of Life demonstration and fire safety education opportunities for everyone.
