In 1991, Congress formally proclaimed the second week of April as "National Telecommunications Week" to recognize the public safety dispatchers who put countless hours behind radios, phones, and computers to ensure the highest level of public safety.

This week we honor the Dispatchers of the Center Moriches Fire Department Communications Center.

We want to recognize this hardworking team of individuals who deal with a wide range of issues from routine calls to life and death situations on a daily basis.

We thank each of our dispatchers for their hard work and dedication toward our department and community.
