Just before 5pm Center Moriches Firefighters were notified of an auto accident with injuries on Montauk Highway at Wilcox Ave.

When Firefighters arrived they found a box truck had hit the overpass, struck an oncoming vehicle and was laying on its side. Emergency personnel immediately treated the injured while firefighters secured both vehicles.

3 people were transported to local hospitals with non life-threatening injuries, the cause of the accident is under investigation from Suffolk County Police.
