At 11:40 this morning, Center Moriches Firefighters assisted the East Moriches Fire Department at a house fire on Inlet View Path.

East Moriches units arrived to find a two-story home with smoke pushing from the roofline. The East Moriches Chief activated his daytime pre-plan bringing in additional firefighters from surrounding departments.

Center Moriches Firefighters responded as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT).

Firefighters brought the incident under control in just over an hour. All units were released shortly after. No injuries were reported, and the scene was turned over to the Brookhaven Town Fire Marshals and the Suffolk County Police Arson Squad.
