The Christmas spirit was on full display Sunday morning as the Center Moriches Fire Department’s annual Santa Run traveled through neighborhoods across town.

With a cheerful “Ho, Ho, Ho,” Santa Claus rode atop a fire truck, sirens sounding and lights flashing, greeting children and families who bundled up to wave hello. Firefighters spread even more holiday cheer by handing out candy canes along the way.

Multiple crews worked together to cover as many streets as possible, continuing a cherished Center Moriches holiday tradition.

A heartfelt thank you to all the members of the Center Moriches Fire Department who volunteered their time, and to the many residents who generously provided cookies, snacks, and treats for Santa and his crew along the way.
