As we continue to dig out from the blizzard or 2026, we’re asking residents to take a moment to clear the fire hydrants near their homes. Deep snow and drifts make hydrants hard to find and can delay firefighters by several minutes during an emergency.

Please shovel a three-foot space around the hydrant and a path from the road or sidewalk.

Your effort helps us reach the water supply faster when seconds matter. The hydrant you clear today could be the one that protects your home tomorrow.
