| From March 16 through May 14, New York Stateβs annual burn ban is in place to reduce the risk of brush fires and wildfires during the dry spring season.
π« Burning leaves, brush, yard waste, and trash is NOT allowed during this time.
β Prohibited β’ Burning brush, leaves, or yard debris β’ Uncontained campfires or recreational fires β’ Large outdoor fires

Allowed β’ BBQ grills and similar cooking fires β’ Small backyard fire pits or contained campfires (Must be under 3 ft high and 4 ft wide and contained in a fire ring or fireplace using charcoal or untreated wood.) Spring brush fires can spread quickly and dangerously, especially with dry vegetation and wind.
