At 6:40 AM this morning, Center Moriches Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Main Street and Union Avenue where an SUV left the roadway and struck a tree.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene and began treating six injured occupants, four adults and two children. Three CMFD ambulances responded, with additional mutual aid ambulances requested from Mastic Ambulance and East Moriches Ambulance.

All patients were transported to area hospitals in stable condition for further evaluation.
