| By land and by sea, the volunteer members of the Center Moriches Fire Department were kept extremely busy today.
Since 8am the department has responded to 17 alarms:
• 8:02 a.m. – Motor vehicle accident on Wading River Road
• 8:51 a.m. – EMS alarm on Wading River Road
• 9:48 a.m. – Mutual aid to the East Moriches FD for a structure fire on Osborne Avenue
• 10:24 a.m. – EMS emergency aboard the fishing vessel Rosie in Moriches Bay
• 11:14 a.m. – EMS alarm on Mirror Lane
• 11:56 a.m. – Carbon monoxide alarm at the King Kullen Shopping Center
• 12:58 p.m. – EMS alarm on Clinton Street
• 1:29 p.m. – EMS alarm on Railroad Avenue
• 2:01 p.m. – EMS alarm on Cottontail Run
• 3:21 p.m. – EMS alarm on Inwood Road
• 3:37 p.m. – Water rescue on the ocean side of Dune Road in Westhampton
• 5:59 p.m. – Water rescue on the ocean side of Smith Point County Park
• 6:12 p.m. – Second water rescue at Smith Point County Park in the ocean
• 7:44 p.m. – Medical emergency on Senix Avenue
• 9:09 p.m. – EMS alarm on Cottontail Run
• 9:47 p.m. – EMS alarm on Sunrise Highway North Service Road
• 10:40 p.m. – EMS alarm on Pine Hills Drive
These alarms took our volunteers throughout Center Moriches and neighboring communities, across Moriches Bay, and out into the Atlantic Ocean.
